Reflective Collars by Royal Canin & PFCI on Dogs Can Prevent Accidents

Just like the lives of humans, lives of animals are also very important !!

Reflective collars would be put on the community animals and by this the number of stray animals hit by speeding vehicles at the night time would be reduced.

People for Cattle in India (PFCI), which launched the Magic Collar campaign in 2016 is behind this project. It will be supported by pet food brand Royal Canin.

During the weekends, a dedicated team of volunteers, who are experienced in handling animals and are vaccinated, will go about fitting the collars on the animals,” said Arun Prasanna, founder of PFCI. The collars will reflect the light from vehicles and help motorists avoid running them over.

Arun Prasanna, founder of PFCI spoke about how he and his team would be collaring more friendly dogs. It is sensational to mention here that they have been feeding 1000+ dogs in Chennai since lockdown. Magic Collar Campaign was launched in 2016 to put reflective collars around the necks of community animals. “The Magic Collars will be put on community dogs and cattle initially and we hope to cover at least 5,000 dogs across the Chennai.

The Coronavirus infection pandemic has slowed down the work of this campaign but in 2022 the campaign is back in full stream. This was according to Mr. Prasanna.
