Young Changemaker Leads by Example at RippleSDG17 Tree Plantation Drive

Pune, (Maharashtra) [India]:  The Baner–Mahalunge Hills witnessed an inspiring scene this week as 7-year-old Idhant Tiwari, a 2nd Grade student from GIIS Balewadi, took the lead in planting saplings during the RippleSDG17 tree plantation initiative. His infectious enthusiasm, focus, and hands-on participation became the heart of the event, motivating adults and fellow children alike to join in.

The plantation drive was conceptualized and meticulously planned by RippleSDG17 Founder, Pratham Gaurav Tewari, who managed the entire initiative from Singapore. His leadership ensured that the event’s execution aligned perfectly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals and reflected RippleSDG17’s mission of uniting people across borders for sustainable change.

Speaking about Idhant’s role, Pratham said, “When you see a young leader like Idhant working with such commitment, you realise that the future of sustainability is not just in safe hands-it’s in passionate hands. His energy shows us that leadership can start at any age.”

CSR and Partnerships Making a Difference

The drive was sponsored by Kapstag Workforce Solutions, whose CSR vision focuses on sustainable development, community engagement, and environmental stewardship. Their support ensured that the right saplings, tools, and logistics were in place for a successful plantation.

Environmental expertise came from the Prakriti Abhiyan Team, which guided the plantation process to ensure maximum ecological impact. The Business Fame joined in as a supporting media partner, amplifying the event’s message and showcasing it to a wider audience to inspire similar initiatives.

Inspiring a Movement

Rows of newly planted saplings now stand as a symbol of how partnerships, community action, and youthful leadership can work hand-in-hand for a better tomorrow. For many attendees, the image of a 7-year-old leading by example was the most powerful takeaway of the day.
