Sughandha Goel: Redefining Leadership and Innovation in the AEC Industry

With a humble beginning from a small town in Punjab to leading two pioneering ventures redefining the global AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry, Sughandha Goel has built her journey on curiosity, persistence, and a relentless drive to learn and evolve.

Her story is one of resilience—of constantly pushing boundaries, embracing challenges, and turning ideas into impact.

Having worked for nearly two decades in the AEC industry, Sughandha has worn many hats—learner, strategist, and last but not least of a builder.

Construction beyond buildings

The belief that every obstacle is an opportunity to learn has kept her going through the highs and lows of entrepreneurship.

She describes her journey as one “shaped as much by failures as by the persistence to rise after each one.”

As Co-founder and Chief Business Officer at FIVD, she has helped shape the company into a recognized name in architectural design, BIM delivery, and engineering collaboration.

Under her leadership, FIVD has become synonymous with transparency, innovation, and quality. These are values that are at the core of her leadership philosophy.

Facilitate not complicate

Her curiosity and desire to solve real-world challenges led to the creation of Avyro, a purpose-built workforce management platform tailored for the AEC sector.

Avyro bridges the gap between people, projects, and technology—reflecting Sughandha’s belief that innovation should facilitate, not complicate.

She recently completed an executive program at Cornell University and is now pursuing her PhD, further deepening her understanding of leadership, strategy, and organizational behavior.

She is a lifelong learner who believes that growth comes from staying curious and adaptable in a world where change is the only constant.

Today, Sughandha continues to drive FIVD and Avyro toward a future facilitated by technology, ethical leadership, and connection.

Her journey is a reminder that with persistence, learning, and purpose, one can’t just build successful organizations—but also redefine the future of an entire industry.

As she quotes, “Growth comes from curiosity, persistence, and the courage to start over when things don’t go as planned. That’s how innovation truly happens,” and she lives by it.
