Niti D. Jain: A Musical Journey Rooted in Passion and Hard Work

Born and raised in Delhi, Niti D. Jain grew up in a culturally rich environment that deeply influenced her musical journey. Her father, an Indian Air Force officer, and her mother, both talented singers, introduced her to the world of music at a young age. Her father’s love for Mukesh’s melodies and her mother’s admiration for Talat Mehmood meant that Niti was exposed to a wide range of soulful compositions. From Bollywood classics to ghazals by Noor Jehan, Farida Khannum, Ghulam Ali, Mehdi Hassan, Asa Singh Mastana, and Surinder Kaur, music became an integral part of her life. Her early association with All India Radio and Doordarshan further cemented her love for singing.

With such a deep-rooted connection to music, it was only natural for Niti to develop an unwavering passion for it. From the age of seven or eight, she began performing in front of her extended family, gradually realizing that music was not just a hobby but her true calling. This passion led her to pursue music professionally, culminating in various remarkable projects.

One of her most significant achievements came when she recorded a song for the Bollywood feature film *Sundar Nagar Ki Sundari*, composed by Shivang Mathur. The song, set to release soon, was recorded at the prestigious Lata Mangeshkar Studio in Mumbai, an experience that Niti describes as surreal. Expressing her gratitude to the film’s director, Mr. Sachin Gupta, for believing in her talent, she considers this opportunity a milestone in her career.

Apart from Bollywood, Niti has made her mark in the independent music industry as well. She was honored to be a part of *Jashn-e-Ghazal*, an album by the legendary music director Sajid-Wajid, where she sang two ghazals—*”Pehle Hamdard”* as a solo and *”Haath Chodo Na”* as a duet with the renowned singer Shaan. Sharing the album with stalwarts like **Hariharan, Anup Jalota, Kavita Krishnamurthy, and Papon** was a moment of pride for her. Additionally, her song *”Hamaare Tumhaare Darmeyan,”* released under Salim-Sulaiman’s Merchant Records, topped Spotify’s *Fresh Finds* playlist, showcasing her growing influence in the independent music space.

Niti draws inspiration from legendary artists like Ghulam Ali, Mehdi Hassan, Farida Khannum, Noorjehan, Abida Parveen, and Rekha Bhardwaj. She admires their unique styles and believes that each of them has contributed to shaping her musical identity. Her most cherished moment so far remains the phone call from music director Sajid, offering her a place in *Jashn-e-Ghazal*. That one moment marked the beginning of a new chapter in her musical career.

Her upcoming song from *Sundar Nagar Ki Sundari* is set to release in mid-April, and she is excited for audiences to hear it. With multiple projects lined up, Niti is on a promising path, and fans can expect many more soulful melodies from her in the near future.
