MYFLEET AI Builds India’s First Vehicle-Level Financial Operating System for Fleet Owners

Bengaluru, (Karnataka) [India], December 19, 2025: As India’s road-based economy continues to expand, a Bengaluru-based mobility infrastructure company is addressing a long-standing gap in how vehicles function as economic assets. Drivetap Innovation India Private Limited, headquartered at UB City, Bengaluru, the company behind MYFLEET AI, has introduced a new category of vehicle infrastructure—one that gives vehicle owners a unified operating system to track, control, and manage vehicle operations with greater clarity.

Founded by Akshay Neelakantha, MYFLEET AI was built to solve a deeply structural problem in India’s transport ecosystem. While the country has over 300 million registered vehicles, more than 80% of commercial vehicle owners operate fleets of fewer than 5–10 vehicles, according to data from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) and industry studies. These small and mid-sized operators move the majority of India’s passengers and goods, yet continue to manage critical vehicle expenses such as fuel, tolls, servicing, insurance, and penalties through fragmented tools, manual reconciliation, and heavy dependence on drivers.

“Vehicles generate significant economic value, but owners have never had a single system that truly represents how their vehicles operate financially and operationally,” says Akshay Neelakantha, Founder of MYFLEET AI. “Without that visibility, control over one of the most cost-intensive assets becomes extremely difficult.”

To address this gap, Akshay developed PayTap, a prepaid payment system designed to help vehicle owners centrally manage and control vehicle-related expenses. Under this model, the prepaid account is issued in the name of the vehicle owner, who can then assign RuPay-powered contactless tags or prepaid fuel cards to individual vehicles. Each assigned instrument is intended to be used only for the designated vehicle, ensuring that drivers operate strictly within the limits and rules defined by the owner. This structure allows vehicle-related spending, across fuel, tolls ( Fastag ), servicing, insurance, and daily operations, to be tracked and reviewed on a per-vehicle basis, while ownership and accountability remain clearly defined.

As the platform evolved, PayTap became the financial foundation on which broader vehicle intelligence could be built, positioning it as core payment infrastructure rather than a standalone feature.

Recognizing that payments alone could not deliver full operational clarity, Akshay partnered with Uday Shankar Mishra, Co-Founder, who brings deep expertise in large-scale systems, data architecture, and AI-driven automation. Together, they expanded PayTap into MYFLEET AI, a unified platform that connects payment data with operational signals such as fuel and toll usage patterns (FASTag), maintenance cycles, challans, driver management , Vehicle level P&L, trip records, and document validity.

A key differentiator of MYFLEET AI is the assignment of an AI-powered Vehicle Manager for each owner. This AI Manager continuously analyzes vehicle activity and interacts with the owner through text, voice, or WhatsApp, enabling real-time insights, alerts, reminders, and queries—anytime and from anywhere, without requiring owners to navigate complex dashboards.

Early pilots with small fleet owners operating 2–10 vehicles revealed a consistent pattern. Many operators were seeing consolidated, vehicle-wise expense data for the first time, enabling them to identify duplicate charges, delayed maintenance, and unapproved spending within weeks of adoption. These real-world insights directly shaped features such as vehicle-wise controls, automated reminders, and system-led decision support.

Today, MYFLEET AI is positioned as a vehicle operating system with an embedded financial and intelligence layer, designed to become the single source of truth for vehicle operations. Built with scalability, transparency, and control at its core, the platform is engineered for long-term expansion across fleet types and geographies.

By connecting what was never designed to work together, vehicles, payments, and intelligent operational systems, MYFLEET AI aims to bring clarity, control, and confidence to millions of fleet owners who form the backbone of India’s mobility economy.
