1) share about the journey behind the title and start of Khaas Re Tv?
– Sanjay started the concept of Khaas Re TV. On April 29, 2017, this YouTube channel started with the birth of Trump Tatya. “Khaas Re” is an expression. In which two emotions are hidden like admiration and mockery. Moreover, the word is on the lips of every Marathi person, hence the channel is called as Khaas Re. And the TV extension is inspired by the famous rapper Naezy’s channel. Further the team grew and this journey which started from dubbing has now reached new shows, web series.
2) What were challenges when you guys are about to establish yourself as an youtuber when you are not a part of any metro cities?
– Sanjay says that we do not live in an urban area, it is not a problem but our positive side. Since we come from rural areas, we are doing different experiments till now. Also, since we have to come to the city for education, we know the nuances and fun of both areas, so these things are seen in our videos. Moreover, the Internet itself has basically come to erase the urban-rural divide. So it seems like we got a platform, not a problem.
3) What was the major turning point which took Khaas Re TV at different level?
– The turning point has not yet come. But there are many encouraging milestones, like our first video going viral and people commenting heavily. At the same time, a company like fox star studio will share our Marathi Deadpool comedy dubbing video. Marathi artists coming to your channel to promote different movies. Mass Communication students doing a case study on us, Satyajit Ray Film Institute students doing a documentary. Such topics are always encouraging for us.
4) Would like to share some memorable compliments about your channel from famous celebrities or personalities.
– Actors have always loved Khaas Re TV. Not only actors but also writers, and directors, their guidance is always there.
6) What is the future of regional language content creators as compared to Hindi or English content professionals? Want to share an idea of being them together?
– We have to thank the lockdown for that because ott was the only option in front of people. People have binge-watched all the content. Regional language has now entered the Indian mainstream. We also need to show a lot of Marathi stories to the world.
