Assam, [India], July 31, 2024: Abhijeet Singh’s journey from a small town in Assam to becoming a renowned podcaster is a tale of passion, perseverance, and the courage to follow one’s dreams. Born in Tinsukia, Assam, Abhijeet grew up in a humble household. His father, Umesh Singh, worked in the tea industry, while his mother, Neelu Singh, was a homemaker. Abhijeet’s early education at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Nazira played a pivotal role in shaping his confidence and public speaking skills, which would later become the foundation of his career.
After completing his 12th grade, Abhijeet moved to Mumbai to pursue a law degree. However, his true passion lay elsewhere. Drawn to the world of entertainment, he joined his college theatre group and immersed himself in the vibrant culture of the city. Despite his burgeoning love for theatre, Abhijeet found his mind wandering to other creative pursuits. In his third year, he made the bold decision to drop out of college and dive headfirst into the event industry.
At just 20 years old, Abhijeet thrived in the event industry, thanks to his affable nature and unshakable confidence. For four years, he enjoyed a successful career until the COVID-19 pandemic forced the company to shut down. Abhijeet then returned to Assam, where a new chapter of his life began. His father encouraged him to complete his law degree, especially since his sister, Ankita Singh, was already making waves in the legal world with her firm, A&P Partners, in Mumbai.
While Abhijeet did eventually finish his law degree, his heart was set on a different path. He started a YouTube channel, showcasing the rich culture and beautiful landscapes of Assam through engaging vlogs. His content quickly gained popularity, leading to collaborations with the Assam government on various campaigns. Despite his father’s advice to focus on his studies, Abhijeet’s passion for vlogging was unwavering.
As he neared the end of his studies, Abhijeet decided to take a hiatus from vlogging and explored a new avenue—podcasting. Leveraging his industry connections, he launched the “Dil Se Dil Tak” podcast on his Instagram handle @iamabhijeet1. The podcast aimed to provide insightful, non-controversial conversations with celebrities and personalities from various fields, including business and music. The biggest challenge was how to approach celebrities. He began emailing industry contacts, many of whom he knew from his event company days. One day, Mimoh Chakraborty, son of Mithun Chakraborty, responded, leading to Abhijeet’s first podcast, which received widespread appreciation. This success opened doors for him, and he started featuring inspiring personalities from various fields, including business and music, not just the film industry.
Abhijeet’s unique approach of steering clear of controversy and focusing on education and personality development resonated with listeners. His dedication to promoting Assam and his genuine love for his homeland garnered him immense popularity, especially in the Northeast. Today, Abhijeet has interviewed over 75 personalities and continues to receive immense love and support from his audience.
In 2024, Abhijeet Singh was recognized as one of the top 10 trailblazing personalities, alongside Aman Gupta. His journey from a small town in Assam to becoming a celebrated podcaster is a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and staying true to oneself. Abhijeet’s story inspires young people to chase their dreams, no matter the obstacles.
As Abhijeet often says, “If I can achieve success, anyone can—with hard work and dedication, and without letting others’ words deter them. Each person’s journey is their own.”
