Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) [India]: “Shiv Naad — Naad Ki Shakti, Nritya Ki Bhakti” is a divine cultural concept conceptualised by Dr. Ragini Makkad of Indore, bringing together the spiritual power of Naad, the devotion expressed through Nritya, and the timeless energy of Lord Shiva. The presentation was showcased during the Shravan Mahotsav at the revered Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, creating a harmonious confluence of music, rhythm, dance and spirituality.
Dedicated to the primordial sound of Mahadev’s Damru, “Shiv Naad” explores the profound significance of Naad and its deep-rooted connection with Indian spiritual and artistic traditions. Through carefully crafted music and rhythmic compositions, the presentation seeks to portray the divine energy and cosmic rhythm associated with Lord Shiva.
The concept features a distinctive 12-matra rhythmic structure, adding depth and character to the musical experience. The divine musical rendition was presented by Yashwant Thite Ji, whose music beautifully complements the spiritual essence of the concept.
The disciples of Krishna Salunke Ji and students of Naadyog Gurukul brought the concept to life through expressive dance, intricate movements and devotional bhav, transforming the spiritual idea of Shiv Naad into a powerful stage presentation.
