Pune (Maharashtra) [India]: ‘Kalarpan’ fashion show was organised by Aabandh Arts at Siddharth Palace in Kothrud. Pune-based costume designer Sai Ratnaparkhi has created artistic costumes inspired by various art forms representing Indian culture, including sophisticated garments created using Indian classical art and culture. Sai Ratnaparkhi, organizer of the program, said in the introduction that Aabandh’s specialty is to use beautiful and attractive rangolis, embroidery, tribal art, ancient artistic temples on clothes and create modern outfits from them.
In the fashion show, four beautifully conceptualised dress rounds, ‘Vritikavarya’, ‘Sukhada’, ‘Adhirai’ and ‘Shringar’ were presented. These included customised women’s clothing, children’s clothing using the tribal art of Warli and Gond, clothing made using Rajasthani Rangoli art motifs called ‘Mandana’, and clothing based on art motifs from ancient temples and palaces and Ethnic. The young girls and boys presented the costumes. The group of children between the ages of 5 and 10 kept everyone entertained! They presented the costumes with great confidence and graceful ramp walk. At the end of the show, famous actress Sayli Sanjeev joined the team as a Show Stopper. All these costumes were painstakingly made by Atharva Gurram, Monika Deshmukh, Sasmita Kadam and Sai Ratnaparkhi.
Reel stars Pawan Waghulkar, Rucha Sudame, Ghe Bharari founders Neelam Umbrani Edlabadkar, Rahul Kulkarni, Harshal Garg, Vinay Gargate, Saloni Gargate and Sharvil Gargate from Soham Udyog, Committee Members of The Clothing Manufacturers Association Of India (CMAI) Jayteelal Veera, Kiran Modgi Sanjay Hatte, Bharat Parmar Pankaj Mundada and Jyotsna Sudame from Education field had graced the occasion. Fashion show was choreographed by Chaitali Nehete and hosted by Mrinmayi Apte.
